We had such an epic vacation that I felt it needed to be documented here. So here goes:
First stop: Station Creek campground near Jackson Hole, WY.
The Snake River is beautiful and it was fun to re-live my rafting days. Except that I fell off the raft this time during a stressful part of the river...still fun though!
Cramming all these kids in the back of Grandpa's truck for a kid rafting run.
Line 'em up for a great picture.
On a hike with Dad with some pretty scenery (girl included;)
The view we usually see when hiking with Annalisa...she likes to be in front.
Gotta love the hammock. Only a couple of small injuries to report.
We went into Jackson Hole for the 4th. We all had matching shirts that were so bright that it was easy to keep track of all the littles.
Grandpa and Grandma enjoying the view of their crazy brood.
We passed the time waiting for the fireworks mostly by wrestling.
Oh Clyde, his eyes piece my soul;)
Harrison did such a good job staying up late.
Because to all boys this age, glow sticks are light sabers. The fireworks here were the best I have ever seen! The finale lit up the sky so much that is felt like day time.
Wow we are bright.
Never a dull moment camping with this many young kids.
Eating and visiting.
Hammock time with Grandpa.
The three older boys.
Our next stop was my parent's house for a few weeks while Cory flew back to California to finish up his judicial clerkship. We started our Utah adventure with a classic: the zoo!
Looking at the seal swimming around.
Riding the carousel with cousins.
Grant is a really good poser;)
Thanks Grandma for having a magical zoo pass that let us do everything for FREE.
Grant IS pretty tall, but I don't think he quite measures up.
The train!
The three boys again. Ethan really was in heaven having some older brothers of his own.
Eating snacks at Aunt Camille's house.
Sometimes it seemed like the kids were never-ending;)
Harrison loved sitting on the trampoline and watching all the airplanes go by.
Love that happy boy.
Static hair!
From underneath the trampoline.
Lighting fireworks in the front yard.
Grandpa is really good at running away from fire.
Ethan staring at the display.
A big decision was made...it was time for the curly mullet to go. Here is the before picture.
And the after picture. He seemed pretty happy about it.
We also got to visit Great-Grandma Webster.
The kids loved hearing stories and seeing pictures of her ancestors.
Visiting our cousins in their new home. Annalisa immediately spotted this dress and put it on.
The Webster girls have to stick together...there are only three of them total and then thirteen boys!
Everyone had a fun time...even though Lincoln doesn't look like he did;)
Trying to figure out if he likes the grass at Grandma's house...
After a few weeks, Cory flew back and we started another leg of the journey. We drove to Seattle to stay with Eric and Cheryl. We stopped to see the Columbia River Temple and then drove through Snoqualmie Pass in the worst downpour I'd seen in years. Welcome to Washington I suppose!
It was a beautiful temple.
Blackberry picking with cousins.
Playing on the bars at a park near their home.
He's a sliding boy.
And she loves to hang like a monkey.
Nice landing!
Another monkey.
Love this picture!!! Annalisa took it.
Just in case you didn't get enough hanging pictures:)
We took an evening walk up to the golf course for a stunning view of Mt. Rainier. That peak just blows me away every time because it comes out of nowhere.
I figured I should probably be in one picture...
The light is blinding in this one, but the girls all slept together.
Two cute boys just crawling around town.
Figuring each other out
So stinkin cute
Their backyard is literally a forest.
Exploring the back deck.
Went to a nearby lake to get some swimming in.
Harrison's life in the shade. He burns pretty quickly:)
Adjusting to the water.
Cory paddled them around on a little raft.
Eric and Cheryl watched our kids (AMAZING) so we could have a date night. Dinner at a British pub, followed by a showing of Wicked at the Paramount Theater.
Thumbs up from the back row.
Trying to take another "couplie".
Pacific Science Center on a beautiful sunny day.
Space needle.
I like Cory's shot better.
In the land of dinosaurs
Petting the animals in the tide pool.
The big water wheel. Lincoln got a little nervous once it started moving faster and got off.
Going to get lunch.
Checking out the big fountain.
Aunt Cheryl took the lead.
Lincoln soon followed.
Cory and Ethan took off and went to a Mariner's game. I think cotton candy was the highlight of the game for Ethan;)
Safeco Field- the only one that Cory hadn't been to on the west side of the United States.
On out last day, we got babysitters for the two baby boys and went to Wild Waves! The kids all had a blast. Here's the carousel.
He loves his dad.
Some good smiles here.
Flying in an airplane.
Lincoln heading up this flight.
Boat ride.
Ethan refused to go on any of the waterslides, but he could have spent all day in the wave pool. We had such a great time in Washington with the Porters!
