T-ball, trains, and a hospital stay

The last few weeks have been frustrating simply because Ethan kept having all of these symptoms that seemed unrelated to each other.  He started with a fever, then a week later an ear infection, then urine problems and swollen eyes, hands, and feet, etc.  I won't go into all the details, but it all culminated in a hospital stay to monitor his high blood pressure and run some tests.  Turns out he had poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis, a complication of strep.  He is doing fine and they say his kidneys should fully heal on their own.  Now, as many of you know, Ethan is my little drama king so I was not excited about a hospital stay with an IV (it took them over an hour, four pokes, and two specialists to get it into a decent vein...don't get me started).

However, I think that I sold it pretty well as an adventure with mommy and getting to have a sleepover at the doctors.  In fact, when we did his check up a few days later, he was very disappointed to not be able to sleepover:-)  Too bad he doesn't understand how expensive his two night "sleepover" was...

But enough about hospitals and insurance, the bane of my existence.  On to some pictures of a few fun things we have been doing even though Ethan has not been at full strength.
Swimming
First t-ball game
Getting ready to hit
Hit it the first time!
Running to first
Stretching for the school jog-a-thon
Looking at the Chick-Fil-A cow, which Ethan reassured Annalisa was not a real cow
Cute kids, even with his swollen face, poor guy
Cory came to visit at the hospital and they made a typo on his name tag. He he he...
Drinking cow's milk now!
Playing with the trains
Wait, maybe just eating the trains
Cute little buddy
